can anybody help I've just purchased a vango airbeam sky canopy along with the sides, set it up this weekend but the sides just look to big. If anyone can help with advice and point me in the right direction i would be grateful.

I think there’s only one height available on this (there was when I got mine). I believe there are adjusters on the sides to shorten or lengthen the sides by gathering up the material.

This is the answer, adjust the sides up, they are longer for taller vans / caravans etc

They are just on a sliding strap.

When you peg the sides out pull them out at the bottom, they aren't supposed to be straight like the picture, adds more strength like that too.

We tested it in full on rain and wind, not one drop of water came in it, peg it out away from the van from the van side or the sides

I'll see if I have a pic showing the angle I put the sides on

Best I've got, you can kinda see how I've got them, leave a couple of inch gap between the van paint too, I didn't get any paint rub even with fairly strong wind.

Lastly the Halfords garage floor tiles are spot on for under there, I bought 2 packs and it wasn't enough so I'm going to get 2 more, 8 quid a pack with trade card:thumbsup:

I have the slightly earlier version, with no points to attach sides, but I really like it. I’ve had it set up in high winds and really heavy rain in Wales, and it’s been as good as gold. I can leave the slider open and have no worries about water getting in.

@RedUn @Spaghetti @VanDamMan what’s your thoughts on this? Been thinking of getting on as an alternative to the large galli we have.
Hi @Gavinsky23 ….I’m just in the process of selling the canopy + sides …but in answer .. We found we needed different setup’s for short and long stays..for short trips out it worked well and is quick and easy to put up…..Our journey continues with camping equipment and have a Tipi tent for 3/4 season events which is ideal for short quick setups ..:)

We took ours to Busfest, couldn’t be bothered to take the Galli III for two nights, 5 minutes to set up.
