Heated seat retrofit / coding question (t6.1)

Can anyone advise what will happen if panel, loom, seats and module are installed but not coded until later? Would the other functions of the panel still be ok (aircon etc)? Reason being the guy doing my seat install is fine wiring it in but doesn’t have VCDS so I’d either have to find someone to come same day or do it separately. Or buy the kufatek coding module.

I would assume until the coding is complete than van won’t know they are fitted and simply wouldn’t work.
The other controls should work as most are common to all vans.
It’s only new or changed functions which won’t work until coded.
