Headlight Trouble

hi all, I picked up my 68 Transporter yesterday. I’ve just noticed that the headlights don’t work. They are LED after sale fitted by the garage I bought it from. My LED running lights work but main beam do not. Also if I turn the selector to side lights then the LED lights go out and I’m left with no lights at all.

I’m so gutted. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

I guessed that, only issue is the garage is 6hours away ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That will teach me not to buy local. Guess I hoped there was a simple fix

If they are aftermarket LEDs, it could be a coding issue. I’d ring them in the first instance, see what they say.

It could also be a polarity issue

Garage are coming to pick up the van on a low loader to resolve the issue so no extra mileage. an inconvienience but certainly better than no lights If they tell me what the outcome is I'll post the results so it may help others in the future
