Hi guys I’ve got the transporter hq drl headlights fitted. I’ve just installed some Philips xtreme ultinon gen 2 led h7 and Philips xtreme ultinon h1

First off the h1 don’t work at all any ideas?
Secondly I’ve had a bulb light on the dash board which I’ve now brought a canbus for so hopefully this will sort it out

I’m really unhappy with the quality of light though. I don’t even know if they are on half the time. Does anyone know why they are so crap? Or what else could I try? Thanks

I've got the v1 of the THQ lights with the Phillips bulbs. The reason you get the bulb warning light is on the the THQ lights there is no side lights as you have the drl.

I've also tried to remove the warning bulb error in VCDS and you cant do it so I just run with it.

Light wise, I found mine disappointing at first but then realised the were out of line so popped in the mot station and got them setup properly for a few quid. There now way better than the OEM h7s

Thanks for the reply

did you get the h1 to work?
Also how did they adjust the lights? Just seems the light is really poor

Mine where pointing to low so just used the adjuster on the rear of the lights, think it's a 8-10mm socket

Then make sure the bulbs are in the seats correctly as the can move when screwing the cooling fans on

Thanks mate, would you say these are better than the genuine led lights for light out put? I’ve been looking at just changing for them

All the big kids with the THQ lights are coding dip to stay on when turning main beam on but more importantly fitting Hid lamps to the dip side which turns night into day in front at waist height... I'd take that route in an heartbeat!

Ah I see thanks, I was told these led were better than hid. I’m better off going for a set of HIDs then?
Is coding the the dipped to stay out with main beam a vag com job?
