Head Unit Stuck On Reversing Display!

How's this for a strange one! Reversed van this morning.....reverse sensor display came up on engaging reverse....and then stayed on! Couldn't operate any head unit functions....all I could see was an inoperable parking sensor display! Filled up with diesel so had to switch ignition off....switched back on.....No change.....screen still frozen! Engaged reverse when parking up.....bish bash bosh.....head unit starts behaving itself! Hmmmm??

Ah....I washed it the other day and haven't used it since.....I wonder is it moisture in the sensor?

I know what this is.....its a sure indicator that the van is doing too many miles going forward! Its now telling you to drive in reverse for the same amount of miles as you have done forward...then it will reboot itself.
It happens alot with Italian cars but that another story about 1945....dont even mention Germans and their cars.

Well, that's an outrageous slur on our European cousins! Is it true that Italian tanks had the same number of reverse gears as forward gears?

seems to be working fine now btw! maybe next time I wash it, I won't blast all the sh*t out from under the back bumper!! All part of the "charm" of T6 ownership!!
