Has Anyone Not Rustproofed The Holes They Drilled For Curtains

Drilled holes in the tailgate tonight (from the inside for the curtain rails) have rust proofed the holes...

DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY RUST PROOF interior holes or am I being paranoid

Im sure it will be fine , one of my old work t5 vans had the full ply lining screwed through the metal everywhere.

Had the same as @Adam Lucas for 11 years - no visible signs of corrosion. I did check that when removed some of the panels for other work. The electrogalvanized screws worked as intended to protect the bare metal in the holes.
