When ordering new van,went through with factory fitted 2nd battery . I don't know how vw did it, but the main battery (lead acid) charges to 80% (12.4v) and the 2nd battery ( agm) fully charges to 12.9v. I am very pleased , because no - one could tell me whether it would be that way or not. I should have known VW wouldn't let me down. Cheers.
That s odd.Starter battery is an EFB (liquid) and the 2nd battery is AGM , under passenger seat.
T6 ordered with optional 2nd battery factory fitted.......and yes, it has stop/start.....but I switch it off each time I drive.

All 3 of mine are AGMMy starter and aux battery are both AGM.
2That's funny.......that's the complete reversal of mine......starter Moll EFB+..70 ah.............Aux Varta AGM 110ah.
I wonder which ones right and which ones wrong.....ha ha ha......hopefully both correct...ha ha ha
