Hi

I currently have a Golf MK7 MFSW in my 2017 T6 Transporter Startline and have been advised that these buttons will not work with my Kenwood DMX-7017 system. The garage that advised this is closed and I'm not sure what buttons I need to replace the current MK7 buttons so that they will work. Could anyone please advise?

Thanks.

Rik

Got a picture of the wheel?

Normally just need a interface for the headunit, can supply you

Do all the button work except the head units ones?

If so pull the 7017 out and send a picture of the interface, it may just need a small patch lead

None of them work and no lights... a friend fitted the wheel but hasn’t got experience other than changing the wheel tbh...Should I grab a pic of the interface? Just curious as to why I was told the mk7 buttons aren’t compatible too? Thanks.

Has the van got cruise control ?

At least the wheel would have needed 2 wires added and coding,

Yes picture of the headunit wiring would help

I expect this is the wheel you should had got-

Hi Absolut5
I am having the same issue if you could help, I have fitted the Kenwood DMX7017dabs and cannot get the unit to pair with the MFSW, everything works on the wheel, cruise etc, but it will not talk to the unit.
I have fitted the connects2 CTKVW17 and an after market harness to the radio. All information I can find says connect KEY 1 to the Blue and Yellow lead, however there isnt a Blue and Yellow lead. I have a T6 2019, any help appreciated.

Hi gary

take a look at the picture, shows the blue/yellow , unless it’s been pulled out or the after market harness didn’t have it

i have Kenwood harnesses here if you need one

Hi thanks for reply and help, my pal has the same radio in a Saab, he took a picture of his unit with the steering remote control activated, on my unit it is greyed out, I was assuming that the pink wire on my harness which has remote written on the tab was the same as the blu/yellow on Kenwood harness, could I be wrong thanks again

Absolut5 could you tell me how many wires should be on the harness going in to the unit on a genuine Kenwood harness and where the blue/yellow wire is positioned in the plug, apologies for all the questions it’s just I’m reluctant to buy anymore harness unless I’m convinced a new harness will do the job thanks again

Only just seen this

if you can wait il pm you a picture of the Kenwood loom , you shouldnt ever need to go into steering wheel settings ,

but Here is the diagram from Kenwood -
