Hi Guys

I'm new to the T6 forum and am looking for advice. I have been reading alot of threads and before I order want to know what you think so far I have this in mind ....

T32 Highline Kombi LWB 204ps DSG in Metallic

  • Towbar / electric
  • Discovery Media Nav / DAB Radio
  • APP Connect
  • 2 Side Doors
  • Comfort Dash
  • Carpet Floor
  • Rear Barn doors
  • Mats / Flaps
From reading posts I feel I need to add
2-1 rear seats or 1-1-1 rear seats seats
Power latching for the tailgate or ideally the full electric one
Extra door seals £30

Any thoughts???

Hi @Gary C ,welcome to the funny farm! Nice spec, would second @StudleyGlass recommend additions, especially the headlights being LED, as the is so much dissatisfaction over the H4, and wishing over the H7's, but enjoy.:):thumbsup:

One think that I really wish I had but obviously dependant on what it's intended use is, is rear heating. The kids do moan a little when it's cold and it's a big van to get it warm in the back for the them. They also moan about not hearing the radio but coming to think of it the pretty much moan about everything in genenral so they clearly take after their mum.

Hi and welcome.
I bought my van used so didn't have the luxury of full choice - but I also missed out on the anguish and nail biting :)

welcome. Good luck with the new purchase. I'd agree that LED headlights are a must! I have the 2+1 seat as a mid row and am happy with it.
Regarding the Carpet floor, I have the rubber floor and intend on putting carpet matts in over summer months. The rubber is really soft but so easy to clean and has really been a hassle free finish. I know some who have carpets have regretted it. Personal choice i guess.

@Gary C I would do the 1+1+1 over the 2+1 that mine currently has, as are lighter to remove & store, better config options, such as either L or R outer removable, or centre leaving any 2 left in the back if you get what I mean. Also better access to the back from either sliding door. Hope this helps :thumbsup::whistle:

I agree with @Rob , sat in the 2nd row seats last weekend, nice and toasty in the front and freezing in the back, couldn't here the radio either. So I might consider this next time, especially as mine is the family vehicle.

And there was me @DaveBos thinking was agree that my Mrs moans a lot (and not in a good way unfortunatly because we are married and that sort of thing stopped a long time ago)

I'd agree about the heating.... it can take an extra 5-10 min to get the back nice and warm. I find running the front floor outputs on high seems to do a good job to get the air from the front to the back.

You guys are some crack, I have an indium grey T5 and I love the colour, I was thinking of Black as a change ?? It will be hard to keep clean, is any one colour better than another?
So I will add Led lights.
What do you need to get heat in the back. I haven't found a issue with heat in the back or lack of it.
I have a roof mounted DVD which keeps the kids entertained and thankfully my wife knows its a waste of time nagging at me.

Wow, that is so weird, is your Mrs and my Mrs related? Sounds like they were cut from the same mould.

Hi @Gary C , like other comments would definitely recommend the LED's. I got lucky in that I found an ex demonstrator with a really good spec on it, so didn't have to agonise over the options list. Good luck.

@Gary C , just had a thought that I'd better make clear on the rear 1+1+1 seating, IFIRC you might have to spec the rear outer seats to be tilt for rear access, not sure on right outer, but if they say not avail ask for the European RH outer as that's their kerbside, and then you have access to rear from either side :whistle: Hope this helps :whistle:
