Morning all, thought id introduce my new purchase! Nought to replace a xc90 T8, it was a cracking car but just didn’t have the space as we adventure in to camping and all the gear that goes with it! So picked this up locally to me, (Aberdeenshire) which was a real bonus, as there were very few nationally that were in budget and spec. Thanks to @coullstar for spotting this one in the adverts!

She’s a 150 dsg, previous owner has fitted a nicer steering wheel with cruise and all the multi function buttons, a real bonus. Also a comfort glove box And rear side windows. Other than that she was a basic shuttle, and I’ll fire up a photo of when we got her about 10 days ago… will then update the thread with what I've done so far! Cheers!

So lovin the bus…. cracked on with the mods.. and now been away with the family on camping trip.. you can just get soooo much in the back!
First mods were the side bars and roof rails.. then lowered on KW (STx) coilovers, vanstyle Matt bronze 19” Dortmund alloys, then a front splitter, and finally a tailgate roof spoiler!

Picked up a second hand unused Atera strada DL locally. Real boost to find one local. Comes with the added 4th carrier too. Wee trial fit when i got home yesterday. Spot on. Will need to turn the handlebars for the carrier nearest the tailgate though.

Not much happening with the van. Running the Devonports for winter with winter tyres. Raised the coilovers at the same time. Found it very difficult to raise the fronts, always seemed to be weight pushing down up the spring and meaning the adjusting collar was very difficult to move. Must be doing something wrong. Rears were no problem. Thoughts?

The other issue i had was it had worn through the rear summer tyres within 6k miles! Like totally bald! Was lucky I didn’t get stopped by cops. I didn’t do a four wheel allignme after lowering it, so perhaps thats the reason. They had worn on the outside quicker, but not solely. When i put the winters on i got an alignment done and it did need adjusted (Bearing in mind I raised it to put winters on) I will definitely do another alignment when i put the summers and 19’s back on. I should mention the van is very rarely heavy in the back.

Again open to thoughts on this?

This week and last I stuck new oem discs and pads on (bought from TPS). Mileage just shy of 40k, so discs have done well. Not sure, doubt it, if the pads were original. Future plans are to change out the fogs and drls for led versions.

In for its alignment..
