Gladen Speakers - Worth it?

Hi all, I want to upgrade my stock speakers. Everyone keeps mentioning Gladen, but then I see the price of them! Are they really worth that much? As in, compared to a set of Pioneer set for £80 ish with maybe a cheap amp.

I’d just like a bit more bass.

Currently on standard head unit which I plan to upgrade later on. I’ll also sound deaden the doors whilst doing the upgrade. Thanks all.

Gladen are very good, they are 8” and ideally need more power than a head unit can supply. Do come with nice tweeter grills though

I would suggest a set of French design `Blam 6.5” door woofers and new tweeters, we can supply them as a plug and play, very efficient so will run off head unit..

Yes a good idea if space allows, we offer our own design and manufactured underseat enclosure which we have been supplying for the past 15 years. (Hold certain 10” subs)

Kicker also do a very superb slim active 10” enclosure, about the best we have come across,

Just fitted a pair to my 6.1 and a little bit of Dodo and it’s transformed it

I was sceptical, but worth every penny!

Thanks all. So a mid-range pair of speakers plus underseat sub would be a decent upgrade? Or would the Gladens alone be better, as I’m guessing the sub enclosures aren’t that cheap.

Is it possible to fit the 8" Gladen speakers in a T6.1 ?

High priced car audio in a squeaky van with a diesel engine for accompaniment never seems like great value IMO. I guess it’s OK when you’ve reached the destination.

I went with some JBL speakers for 65quid. Other than a rattle in the drivers door, I'm happy enough with them. I just need to trim the door card.

Would like some more bass but i don't think a 6.5" speaker is ever going to deliver that.
