Ghost alarm auto watch

Hi
Recently got fitted Autowatch Ghost2 install in Rav-4.
It works well.

but when car is parked on slight uphill then car moves forward/reverse after changing in Drive mode. But steering is lock.
Is it normal anyone can share experience

It’s about ghost alarm but car is not Vw.

If you know will car move is common ?

I can’t comment on the Rav 4, but I have a Ghost 2 on my Transporter and have had one on my last three cars. 2023 BMW M135i, Mercedes A35 AMG and a Ford Focus MK3 RS.

All of the above, apart from the Focus RS are Auto. Ghost works differently with Auto transmission as opposed to manual.

When active on an Auto transmission, the vehicle will start, but cut the engine when a driver tries to engage either Drive or Reverse. When active on a manual car, the engine will not start.

Hope that helps. The vehicle may still roll with some autos, if the selector is not electronic and the driver is able to pull the transmission into neutral. Manual vehicles will definitely roll if neutral is selected and they release the handbrake.

Try a Toyota forum? More chance getting an answer than on a Volkswagen T6 one, I expect different vehicles will behave in different ways especially as VW group automatic boxes are different to others.
