My VW Transporter is in limp mode. Glow lamp blinking and engine lamp orange. I runned vcds Van throwing p24b3 and p2463. The soot content is 72% and it won't accept forced regen. What means heater control for particulate sensor? Is that the control unit in picsScreenshot_20260126_180114_Gallery.webpScreenshot_20260126_180245_Gallery.webp? Or is the heater somewhere else?

Possibly your VCDS cable is an older one (9+ years) as they can't read data of controllers using UDS protocol - as T6 engine?
Only HEX-V2 and HEX-NET have the UDS capability.

There are a number of criteria that must be met to do the regen - engine temp, fuel level (above 1/4), no Fault codes present, soot level not too high (above 40g maybe).

If you can trick the van to think everything is met then it might work

Fuel level above 1/4 is not true. My van can start e regen with the fuel in the red zone.

While I have never tried to see if a regen happens below 1/4 tank of fuel, I have seen it documented in quite a few places. Nice to know that soemone has tested it though thanks @Skyliner33

I suppose a forced regen might require a bit of trial and error, and would be good to have it documented.

On T6 criteria to allow regen to start is fuel low light not on. I would expect running regen isn't stopped by fuel light but still haven't managed to time a regen to stretch over from no fuel light to fuel light on.

However, a few members have reported that the regen starts even with fuel low warning light ON.

Mine does not start a regen when fuel low light is on (below)

Either replacement or could try cleaning. Anyways, the reason for not regenerating needs to be resolved.
Would resetting value in measuring block 068 to 30% and then try a forced regen help?
I don't think yours even have those measuring blocks? It would be under engine adaptations.
 
I can confirm that trick reset the value 72 to zero and then do forced regen for me worked. Of course after finding l had to open security acces S12345. The blinking of glow plug lamp and engine orange lamp disappeared Car runned like hell again for 3 km then the engine lamp comes on again. Not the Glow lamp thanks God. Scanned the car again and found the same fault for part ash sensor. Probably only a new one to 250 euro will cure it. Opinions?
