Simple as well, me likey! Not sure they'd do much for serious off roaders but if you're just going for the look and a bit of extra ground clearance...

They must alter the angle of drive shafts etc. Not sure if that means worn joints etc. It would need some way more mechanical than me to explain the ramifications!
