Fuel filter configuration

Greetings to all,

I'm new from South Africa.I kindly request your assistance.I bought a second hand Kombi with 200 000 km.I observed that the car is flashing glow plug light when im decelerating or up the hill.Further,the car start and stall when it is hot..no issues on cold start.I used OBDEleven scanner and I found that warning alarms that point to low fuel pressure and crankshaft sensor..I used chat gpt to guide what could be the issue.first advise is to start by replacing fuel filter.I have attached a picture of how the current filter is connected.when watching videos on YouTube, it seem as if the connection on my bus was done incorrectly.I kindly request assistance if the connection is correct or I need to rotate the filter. Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

I have just been doing full service on 2005 R5 tdi I bought about a year ago, done everything no problem. I do have an issue with the fuel filter, it has been in the vehicle 5 years going by service history, before I started I was looking on line about it and found a diagram showing the fuel...

Unfortunately my filter is different (only to connections) so cannot check for you.

Thank you for the response.It did help a lot.I went an extra mile by contacting collegues who are driving the same car (2017) to share picture of how their filter are connected and ask random strangers at mall and drove to dealer selling second hand similar car just for verification.I can confirm that the filter in my car was incorrect connected.Thank you again for the guide ,it is highly appreciated.
