Front passenger seat on long distances

Hello All,

I have a T6 Shuttle with 2 x captains chairs in front.. On longer journeys (3hrs +) my wife is complaining that the passenger front seat is uncomfortable. It's a van seat of course, and there's a difference between a Shuttle seat and a Caravelle. I'm not looking at changing the seat but does anyone have good experiences with semi permanent additions to help, like lumbar cushions, or any changes / fixings to the passenger footwell so her feet could rest at a more natural level? I think the problem is more about the footwell being deep with no rests for her when compared to the driver side where there's the raised platform for the left leg. <insert wife jokes here if you must!>

I would try a makeshift foot stool or something as a first call, as if your wife isnt particularly tall then having her feet a little higher might help?

I noticed when I had an aftermarket swivel which made the seat higher it was more uncomfortable. I have now removed it and its much better

We have swivels which make the seat higher so although at 5’10 Mrs Vanderlust isn’t short she found this adjustable foot rest made the sitting position more comfortable. £16 from Amazon 3 years ago .IMG_0473.webp

My sweet half also hates the kombi (double) front seat. We tried with a backrest cover, but it does not do much, since at the end it is a fixed seat, you cannot recline.
But what she does is just fold it completely, seat on the 2nd row and lay her legs over the folded front seat. She loves it she feels like on a couch.. and I feel more like a hired driver🧑‍✈️;).
BTW that comes with the new problem that I cannot see her lips when she talks, and, since the kombi is also rather noisy, I miss some of her words. That is irritating (especially whe she says something of utmost importance...). I am looking for a children mirror (or whatever is called a 2nd internal mirror). I had it on my Scenic and it worked very well but my daughter hated it, though, so it should be foldable.

That footrest looks like the type of ergonomic thing they do for offices, for under desks.
