Hello hope everyone is alright,

Currently on with converting my van and my units will be ready to collect from davanco within the next week or so.

Im Currently looking at ordering the last few bits including the sink which i think im going for the smev 9722r. But fridges is my next item to buy I've been researching but seems to be endless amounts of fridges and brands and different opinions.

Will be the standard style fridge front opening or front sliding not yet decided looking for recommendations for both and opinions from you guys

Picture of my van so far

Cheers josh

Cheers bud still pretty new to the forum can never find what i need 🤣
Ill give it a look

We've used the Sanjo 50 ltr fridge for 3 years, no issues, now rebadged Freucamp/Sanjo. Copy of Dometic CRX50.
I would take a risk with this if I needed another, £319, gotta be good!

Looks like compressor is at the bottom on that one.

So full size freezer, but less fridge space.

Verses my THQ one where the compressor is at the top, so I have a shorter freezer section, but full depth fridge area.

Both designs have there merit's

But all fridge manufacturers just state the overall internal volume, and not how it's split fridge/freezer zones.

Also most kitchens cabinets are vented for the compressor at the top... So check your cabinet vents to see where they are.

The top compressor design is theore popular I believe.

My current Sanjo 3J has the compressor at the top and internally looks prettier with a less bulky freezer section.
The recent addition of our awning fridge (Outwell Arctic Chill 8l) worked well, albeit 2x 4a drain on the LB, great to have milk beer and butter available outside though!
Solar kept batteries well topped up.

This is one of the fridges I've been looking at any issues with it ?
Do you find it you use the door opening both sides ?
What is the door pocket like on the fridge? Seen some that people say you struggling to stand a milk in the door on some fridges

Door opening both ways (or removing completely is a huge bonus for us. Depending where the dogs were lying.

See this post for the door pocket capacity

That's one pricey fridge for a pint of milk lol .

Outwell Arctic Chill 8l

At least it's compressor based, so not so bad a drain on your battery.

2 pinter, 3 cans of Guiness, butter and stuff to fill the gaps! You can use it as a bench or a step, 2x usb chargers and a wireless phone charger built in.
It makes the Mrs happy, priceless!

I'm no expert but I have jfk50 fridge freezer from just campers I've had it for just over a year not to noisy i think it's £279 at the minute and doesn't seem to draw to much power and gets cold fairly quickly
