Footrest for Small People

I am getting ear ache on longer journeys from small person that their legs are getting sore from dangling in the 2+1 kombi rear seats. They are still in the booster seat but their legs/feet hanging and don't reach the floor. Some sort of footrest that attaches to the base/metal legs on the middle part of the rear 2-seater would be ideal that they could put the feet on.

Has anybody found a footrest solution for kids in the back of the Kombi 2+1 seats where their legs are dangling and becoming uncomfortable?

@Josh (OVANO)

this is a common request we see all the time.

have you thought about making a small OVANO Step for the rear?

i know id buy one . . . we have a RIB bed in the back. . . but the seats make the passengers feet dangle.

weve been using a case of COKE CANS as a make shift foot rest. .

I havent come across this question before. And although the answer is yes we 100% could make a little box, my concern is that it would be something else to carry, store, rattle etc. Atleast coke cans you could drink at the end, where as you'd need to find a place for a box when not in use. I'm all about dual use items. Do you agree with that or do you 100% want a black hexa box?

I think it has to be a storage box - so a removable/ hinged lid.
With a Rock&Roll bed I would be a bit nervous about a big box flying forward in case something happens.
Our older one has the feet up on the cooler (kombi setup with Ovano switch XL)

I was trying to figure out something that can fold/flip/slide up/out from under the double rear seat. Kinda like one of those armchairs where the footrest can be manually flipped up on a piston. So could be dual use as storage & footrest. A flat panel that flips up would be dual use too as when flipped down it would hold things in place under the seat.

We got one of those eBay/Amazon plastic aerobics/step exercise platforms that clip together at different heights for our Rib bed/seat as even medium height adults can barely touch the floor when seated.

I've actually gone through this recently with my 5 year old. He sits on a booster seat on the rock and roll bed and his legs dangle.

When we are going camping I use a compression bag for my duvet and pillows and I put that down and strap it in place for him to put his feet on.

When we are not overnighting I have one of those folding stools in the van he uses. Its just high enough.

Neither is a great option.

At some point I'll built a little fold out step on the bottom of the C pillar for him. Doesn't help in a Kombi I know.
