Finally got to scratch my T6 itch

Hey,
So stoked to have taken the plunge and joined the T6 community.
My ride is a lwb ‘17 plate 1.9 bi turbo.
Looking for any advise as I’m happy to admit at being a partial novice.
Thinking of fitting 25mm wheel spacers front and back to cure the “overhang”. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Welcome. Good looking ride. You will never look back joining this community. Great bunch of experts

Hi and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on getting your van.

Before adjusting wheel spacing, it might help to sort the saggy bottom first - this is very common with conversions.

Hey,
Thanks for the welcome.
Grateful for an explanation on the saggy bottom comment. Cheers

I'm sure it was nothing personal :)

Campervan conversions add more weight to the back end of the van, squashing the rear suspension a bit so that the back looks, and is, lower. That can be sorted though.

Nice van. Spend some time using the search function and exploring the forum for the things you need to specifically know about.
I think people who use spacers on the Devonport wheels put 15mm front and 25mm rear from memory.

Thanks syd - will look into this. There’s nothing personal when it comes to being educated on van-life

Nice van, good to see you've gone for the right length! As for wheel spacers, I'd recommend 20mm front and 30mm rear if you're planning on sticking with the OEM wheels.

How do I sort my saggy bottom?

Sorry, missed this earlier.

The additional weight from the conversion is weighing your van down. Generally, the T6 enjoys a load, so it comes down to how it drives/handles.

I have a California (ie factory camper) and my suspension was atrocious!

Enjoy your van a bit before jumping into modifications
