After a couple months of searching, I've flown back to the UK and picked up my T6.1. 150bhp, DSG, 63k Miles and will start converting it soon!

Sadly whilst driving back over the Brecons, I stopped and I think it was mid regen, because after that I got the overfilled oil warning.

I'm right at the top of the dipstick, but have ordered an oil syringe to take a bit out just in case. Trouble is, I have to drive back to Germany on Sunday. Will it be safe to drive back, and then I'll do an oil change once I get there (only up to half full I think...).

Can't really go back to the dealer (three hours away) and this is more my fault not knowing about this stupid regen Diesel thing until now!

Oh and the backup battery on the SOS unit has gone, seemingly also the other common fault

Otherwise, great drive and I love it!

Definitely not regen related after only a single cycle.

The 6.1 is oil level sensitive and the tendency of spanner jockeys with any vehicle is to brim it to the top of the stick which the oil level sensor doesn't like.

Oh, and provided the oil level isnt above MAX you're ok, regardless of what the lyjng bastid display says.

That's good to know, makes me feel better about driving back - I'll make sure to check if the software update has been done when I get back as well

Mine lies through it's teeth - my level remains steadfastly at half mark and it periodically tells me to remove some. I check my levels manually each week and before a long journey so I just ignore it.

Yeah, its just a sheet system. There is a software update but that doesn't always cure it. Now I know its bull I just ignore it.
