Bump (push it while in gear - don't do this with diesels) or jump (battery to battery - don't do this either)?
If jump, did you connect direct to the battery or via a negative on the chassis?

Does it sound ok when driving/changing gear etc?
Best get a Carista or OBD11 to check out the codes - should be an essential part of any toolkit, as useful or more useful than a set of spanners nowadays.
Hopefully it was just a quickie warning saying there was an anomaly but all is ok now - but won't know till you see the code(s).
