Morning all,
I’m mounting a tele on to a brick chimney breast. The mount is one of those pull-down jobbies. The chimney is capped off and plastered over, and a two-gang socket is present (behind where the fire would have sat).
The power for the new tele will be chased in, but for future-proofing any extra cables needed I’m considering running conduit horizontally through the front brickwork of the chimney (which will be hidden by the tele) in to the smoke chamber, and then directly down and out of the bottom (where I suppose the smoke shelf would normally be) so it pops out directly above the media unit, with brush face-plates at either end.
For the life of me I can’t find any faceplates that mate to conduit - does such a thing exist?
Failing the existence of such a thing, I’ll use 32mm waste pipe and go Blue Peter with the plastic weld
