Just arrived at Durham. Some nice Kiwis on sit have a rented cali and roof will don come down. All fuses appear ok. Any help appreciated. They need to move on to Scotland asap. Cheers
I think the issue is normally a sensor failure but in an emergency the handbook has a procedure for manually opening the hydraulic valve and getting it down - but I bet they don't have the handbook and after you get it down you have to secure it the van will warn you the roof is open continuously - it's more a get it to the garage option.
A thread over on the other forum suggested either removing all the fuses to try and reset things or a reset option on the camper control unit.
Thank you.
Was a sensor in the end. Roof down manually and strapped down. Their went on their way to Manchester to exchange van. Hire guy sent out AA who didn’t sort it. Then an “inverter” specialist (auto electrician) who got top down.
