Eibach Pro-Street Coilover

I managed to get a really good deal on some low mileage Eibach coilovers but can’t find any fitting instructions.

I fitted the rear adjustable springs and dropped it roughly 45mm. I would like to drop the front around 50mm to give me a nice level camper.

The front shocks have total of 120mm of threads but the range is 30mm-60mm drop. There is also “helper springs” which prevents you from using the full range of threads. Where do I need to be from bottom of the threads to end up with 50mm drop as doing the job on my driveway and don’t fancy jacking the car up 5 times to find out?

Second question do I need to reuse OEM dust covers and will they even fit the shocks with the helper springs and their bump stops?

The amount of thread showing is not an indication of how much the van can be lowered at all . The helper spring can be crushed by hand its basically a stretchy spacer that keeps the main spring in place while the vehicle is off the ground .

Do not use the OEM dust covers /

Impossible to say what adjustment to start with because all the vans are different weight and this affects where you set them , as a suggestion 40 mm from the bottom of the thread to the lower face of the adjuster ring , adjust from there when the vehicle is re assembled .

Thank you for reply, yes I ended up going with 40mm from bottom of thread which gave me nice 4cm drop on front.

I need to raise the rear slightly as it’s currently sitting 1cm lower than front. Would you usually go for bang on level front and rear or would you recommend 5mm or so higher on rear with t32 camper?

It is fine to set the rear a little higher as this doesnt affect the steering adversly . we just dont want the rear lower than the front ideally .

example 100 kilos of load normally changes the height by 10 mm ( lower ) there fore if you set it 5 mm higher it willl compensate for your personnal stuff being loaded for trips away
