DIESEL HEATER FITTING - BRISTOL

Hi all,

As the title suggests, I'm looking to get a diesel heater fitted in my custom interior T6. Based in Bristol but happy to travel.
Any suggestions or reccomendations very welcome!!
Thanks!

Hi
I'm not sure on your skill level or ability to attempt a self installation

There are quite a few good YouTube videos out there to help you along, it's definitely not rocket science

Remember though, regardless who does it, make sure you have a good carbon monoxide detector installed too (also correctly situated)
And that'll potentially save your lives, too many folks have perished unfortunately because they chose not to fit one

If we lived closer, I'd help you out with this

Good luck

Hi, im looking for my first campervan. I've seen one im in interested in, but it doesn't have a diesel heater. I've seen your thread and wondered if you did get one fitted and what the approx cost was? Thanks Lee

There are plenty who could do it but not all will do it well.
Whoever does it make sure they plan to install it where it won’t get wiped out by the first puddle you drive through.
I worked on someone else’s diesel heater while travelling, yes it worked when they bought it but what a terrible installation; hole in the floor 1.5x bigger than needed, air hose chafed through on rough edges as no floor grommet, fuel hose chafing and electrics unsupported and broken. Looked like a 5 year old did it.

Thankyou for your reply. Something I wasn't aware about. I also live in Bristol so will probably contact one of the recommended companies above for a quote. I was just trying to see how much extra on top of the outlay for the van I would need to pay. Will also require a tow bar at some point but that can wait for another day. Cheers Lee

You might get a better price getting both done together, if the van is on a lift it’s being charged for taking up space.
Two people working on both jobs at the same time.
