Courier Companises and letter boxes

Can somebody please enlighten me on why your average delivery driver seems totally incapable of putting even the smallest package throuigh a letter box. Tima and time again, I've found tiny packages (and by 'tiny', I mean a normal letter size envelope but maybe 10mm thick) just dumped on the doorstep when it would have been just as easy (and as fast) to stick it through the letter box like normal people. Maybe the courier firms ought to add a short module on the subject to their induction briefing. Thinking about it, maybe they could also add things like delivering to the right address and not ust chucking a packege over the fence in the rough direction of the house.

Where the f&ck is Esther Ranzen when you need her.
I’d write to my MP, they’ll be right on it.

I feel blessed; all the delivery drivers in our area - including the Evri guy - are spot on.

Consider yourself lucky that the parcel makes it as far as your door. Ours barely make it up the drive. On more than one occasion I've had a package left in front of a wheel of a vehicle.

Our regular drivers are spot on! When the boys were young, our Evri driver used to text us his arrival rather than wake them if it was after 7pm! Agency drivers are generally a waste!

To the OP’s point, it is the newfangled letterboxes with an inner flap that puts them off! Springs are too strong and who’d want to shove their hand into the unknown if your fingers will get scraped! (But at least you don’t have any draughts!)
