Controlling LEDs via a switch and a remote.

Morning,

Day to day when using the van as my main vehicle I want to be able to turn the rear LEDS on/off by a switch by the sliding door. But when in the van camping, want to be able to do this via a wireless remote. My immediate thoughts are having an on/on/off switch with the LED remote receiver inline in one of the on circuits. Would this even work or is there an even simpler way?

@travelvolts sells a wiring kit to control LED lights on 2 circuits, not sure if this is actually what i need...

I haven't ordered the remote and receiver yet so cannot just test and find out. I have found one that will control 3 different control units with a single remote. Price will add up mind if I 3 light circuits to be controlled, but it does look useful even if a little overkill :).

Thanks,
Si

It will work as long as you make sure that the remote works on the negative line (most do) otherwise you will have to add a relay and lose any dimming function. All options are possible but it could get very complicated.
