Connecting solar panel

I wonder if anyone can help. We are confused as to how to attach crocodile clips to leisure battery. It has plastic covers that have wire attached to that goes to control panel on it so if you take them off you lose connection to control panel. Picture attached. Thank you.

Try pulling these caps.off and using the studs?.

Thanks we thought it through and did exactly that and it worked.
