Composition Media in T6 Kombi - line out options

Hi All.

I think the answer is no, but just wanted to check the latest intel.

Can I get a lineout from the Composition Media unit, please?

If not, has anyone successfully run a sub under the seat/s and put a passive high pass filter (say 80Hz) on the door speakers? I've got several nice old Genesis amps, but don't have the time to install that I used to! So I'd prefer to upgrade the woofers/tweeters and run them off the headunit, while running a separate active sub.

Or is the headunit amp butch enough to run a (sensitive) passive sub, via a passive crossover? I've got various old coils knocking around...

Thanks in advance for any info!

We have done a number of JL audio amps on these units, which run very well off the OE headunit it.. the amps take direct speaker level into the RCA input and auto turns on... using a JL bass control add allows you to control the volume of the sub

We did Chris Crofts Caravelle on here using a JL XD500/3 amp, Hertz Miile Pro front components and a 10" JL 10w1 sub in put\r underseat enclosure... massive improvement

The XD500/3 is a small compact versatile amp which drives all the speakers

Thanks Absolut5.

It's probably something I'll tackle myself, so can I be cheeky and just check a couple of things with you?

Firstly, does the speaker loom run off the back of the headunit or is there a separate amp/module elsewhere?

If I wimp out and just go for replacement of the stock speakers, is there a more sensitive/efficient aftermarket replacement set you'd recommend, that will run off the headunit internal amp?

Any ready-made underseat solutions you'd recommend? (bearing in mind they're a compromise.)

Thanks in advance,

Ben.

Hi Ben

Speaker wires are in the quadlock plug behind the radio..

We do a number of front speaker kits from Blam and Rainbow, all have 8" door woofers and separate dash speakers, all efficient to run off the headunit and give better depth in sound

We do our own custom underseat enclosures which house 10" JL subs
