Cocked up bigtime

Hi,

New to the group was wondering if you can buy the small sliding window that comes standard on a kombi due to scoring the outside !!!!

Daft git didn't change his carbide blade out of his Stanley and scored a lot of the small window on the passenger side tinting them.

Had the van a week from brand new absolutely gutted

Are you asking if you can buy just the sliding part of the window on its own ?
If so i can find out in the week if no one else can confirm

You shouldn't use a Stanley blade as it's the wrong steel, and even still Vw glass is very soft.

So i enquired for you and the official verdict is yes you can get the smaller sliding pane of glass separately
Price is around £130-140 + vat but would need a VRN for an exact price to see if it green/tinted glass etc
For info the complete window with slider is around £400-420 + vat

The window will be privacy tint not green, that's a good price for the slider alone pay the £140+ vat and put it down to one of those things

Your insurance will no doubt take a hit worth more than the £140. Even with protected NCD the insurance Co. never lose out in the long run!
