Charger 2 installation to connect to Bluetti power station

Forgive me if this information is already out there.

I cannot find it.

I have newly discovered that you can purchase a charger for the Bluetti AC180 power station for my T6.1 whilst on the move. Fantastic! I've opted for a power station rather than the leisure battery set up.

My question is. Has anybody successfully connected the hard ware from battery to power station through the firewall? Which route did you take? I know there's 2 x factory grommets either side of the firewall. My power station is in cabinet beside fridge. The charger will locate on cabinet wall above power station.

I need to know the easiest and best way of positioning the cable between battery and charger. Much appreciated

I've got the EcoFlow 800W Alternator Charger so probably a similar set up to the Bluetti Charger - I ran the power cable through the grommit behind the starter battery (I drilled a hole through the removable panel to reach the starter battery and fitted a thick rubber grommit for protection) - the Ecoflow cable is huge (2 x 16mm) so I separated the earth and fixed that internally so just the positive wire needed to go through the bulkhead.

If you need to get to the drivers side of the van you could run the power cable across the plenum chamber beneath the wiper motor and into the van via the grommet on that side.

So did you have to widen the hole where the factory grommet is? To be able to fit the cable through? I think using the grommet on drivers side is best option for me. I've not looked to see how big the hole is yet. The cable then would come into the cab.

Where would I thread the cable to the power station?

I didn't have to widen the hole. It's a snug fit but do-able. Obviously my cable runs down the opposite side but same principle - lift the cab carpet (if you have one) and cab step and run the cable along the side of the step and through to the back of the van alongside the sliding door step etc. You could go up the A-pillar too and along the roof lining, following the OEM wiring loom.

Grommet behind starter battery has a red cable. This might be because I had air suspension or audio installed. Now what? Where's another entry point? The Grommet near brake pedal might be the only option
