Change of interior opinions needed

T6 Pro
Having had my T6 fully converted to a camper last July, and now having used it for a year, I think I'd have done things differently based on how I've used it the most. I think a 'day van' conversion would suit me better, with a fridge pod that can be taken out when not needed, and even have a removable bench seat in rear... or one on sliding rails that can move forwards and backwards as required (are these a thing??). Basically... there are a lot of times, like when I'm going biking for the day, when I need more space inside than I have. And when we camp, we tend to cook and sit outside rather than in the van.

So, enough rambling... my question is this: do people think I'd be better selling the interior bits separately? It's basically a full conversion: bed, sink/hob, units. Then being left with a carpeted shell with the electrics, which is what I'd want. Oooorrr, just sell the van as is, and start again...?

My preference would be to keep the van and just sell all the interior bits... but is this possible? Do people buy such things second hand?

All advice/opinions welcome! Especially if you've done something similar and then regretted it!

Thanks.

I think it could be worth looking to sell the interior second hand. Let’s be honest, T6 camper conversions are very, very expensive and if it were me looking to do a self build I would definitely consider second hand if it were right for me. It could be a good opportunity for someone to save a good deal of money on the cost of the units etc and for you to recover some of your initial outlay. It would have to be in top condition though.

Why not advertise it and just see how you get on? Nothing to lose in trying.

With a couple of months lead time for a lot of furniture and conversion work, advertising it is worth a punt. What have you got?

Well this is my interior at the moment... which, don't get me wrong, I really like... just think day-to-day, I need more 'van space' for bikes and dogs and stuff.

So was wondering about stripping it out, just keeping the fridge. So is the best bet just to advertise it in the 'for sale' thread on here?

The for sale section on here is as good a place as any to get started, you'll need to be a VIP member, which costs £12.99 a year, but is definitely worth it.
