Central opening/locking, single door fault

I hope someone can help. I have yet another issue with my new (to me) van.

It is a t6.1.

Central locking on both the remote and the key opened and locked all doors when I bought it. Now when I open the van the passenger door does not seem unlock allowing me to open from the outside. However if I open it from the inside the outside handle then functions until I relock the van. I have tried changing the setting on the stereo between the all doors lock/open to drivers door only and it functions as expected, bar the passenger door.

Sounds like your door latch is faulty and won’t unlock, check the wiring first in the door shut for any broken wires then remove the door card and get access to the latch mechanism put your hand on it lock the van and unlock see if you can feel the motion even if it does not do what is expected then see if you can get some penetrating oil into the actual body of the latch not into the latching finger part you may have to make a access hole into the body of the latch with a small drill
