Hi All

I'm new to campervans and recently got my converted T6 back and was wondering about the leisure battery and solar set up regarding leaving the CBE unit on all the time and whether this would damage the battery in any way or should I leave it off and only switch on when needed ?, its my daily drive and work van so its in daily use and not parked up on the drive for weeks, the internal and rear lights are connected to the CBE unit so in the current dark months its handy to leave it on, here are the details :

Fitted with CTEK SMART BATTERY COMBINER FOR SMART EU6 ALTERNATORS and 160W SOLAR PANEL (REGULATED VIA CTEK BATTERY COMBINER)

CBE Unit panel with nothing on and ignition off

Depends on set up imo.. mine controls nothing but 12v systems..purely leisure accessories. I have done this to have to this option..
No CBE no leisure system, giving option to isolate it all bar standby mode on screen.. Only exception to this is the fridge.. this is on a perm live feed(direct batt/EHU.

Hi I’m just about to install the pc380 with the ds520-AN I have a victron dc-dc set up working but the info about on the cbe set up is a bit sketchy if I don’t connect b1 to the van battery and don’t connect a ignition feed will it still work as basically a glorified fuse board I don’t need to monitor the van battery voltage any info or tips would be greatly appreciated thanks
