Has anyone paid to have the rails fitted at all ?

Have read up on the posts of people doing it themselves but probably a little beyond me I reckon .

Located in Berkshire

Thanks

Oxford T5 (if they're still around?) used to be the go to place for this. I retro-fitted them to my old SWB T5.1. It's not that bad a job to be honest if you can swing a spanner! Managed to do the whole thing myself over the course of a weekend.

Thank you mate .

I am considering it tbh given 2 of the quotes I had were more than what I’m paying for the seats . I get it but it’s looking more and more likely.

The worst of it is removing all the underbody trim and dropping the fuel tank. Not necessarily difficult just a lot of climbing under the van. I'd advise running your fuel tank down as low as you dare before tackling, it doesn't need to come all the way out, you just need to access the floor above it for fitting the reinforcement plates and tightening up the nuts n bolts for the rails.
The exhaust can just be dropped down from the rear rather than fully dismantling - that means removing the spare wheel carrier etc. although you can use the spare tyre for the exhaust to rest on.
I did a brief write-up of it on my build thread on the T5 forum - might give you an idea of what's involved.
