Can I travel with Skylight Open

Our 400mm ish skylight hinges from the front and has a locked position so I wonder if I can leave it open while driving.
What are other peoples experiences?

The wind will make it whine and whistle unbearably

Thanks. It does make a big difference. I guess the best option is to use the cab side windows to keep cool because at least you can open and close them at whilst driving.

Had one at the back in my old Autosleeper T5 which we'd often have open while driving to dry out wetsuits etc. Not much noticeable noise from it, but had to have one of the front windows open a crack to get airflow through the van and the racket from that would have drowned it out anyway if there was.
