Can I change my Awning?

I have a Reimo awning rail fitted. I also have a skyline poptop.

Is it possible to remove the rail and fit a permanent awning (one of the wind out ones) without leaving an un-sightly mess?

The Reimo rail is bonded and screwed and I have the front water run-off thing.

you can get the wind-out with the bracket that fits that gauuter - so you dont need to remove it.

i think the new F43 is the new T6 specific one,,

and the brackets . . . .

I thought a recently read a post that there is Fiama 43g (or similar) that has better end brackets and a better wind out mechanism.

Can’t remember where I read it…?

id imagine so,

but you can ask via email just to be sure.

I have the following fitted to my T6 LWB and no modification was needed in terms of fitment. Did the work myself so confident of that. The let down was the instructions were not clear for the larger awning for the lwb.

I can see two mounts depending on the rail one for Reimo and one for Vamoose neither look like the upright they have sent a picture of. Difference is the location that the mount that is screwed to van goes depth wise.

Part c is the difference. See how a looks like my photo and b is replaced by the plate in your pic with centre bolt that comes with F43.

I can only 100% go by the vamoose one but looking at instructions c is the only diff to what I fitted. There was a YouTube video that covered fitting for a f43. Could call the company who put it up if in doubt.

Double checked and yes that’s the one. No modifications to the mounts or figments for awning. The F43 had the extra mounting plate needed specifically for it supplied with awning.

The only change I had to make was fixing an issue with the threaded inserts pulling out the mounts. I replaced with rev nuts.

So the choice is either f43van or Thule 4200.
Both have the Vamoose bracket option for my awning rail.

Pro’s and Con’s of each?

I ‘think’ the Thule projects only 2m compared to 2.25 for the f43van. What else?
