Hi I have a T6 startline which I would like to fit some colour coded bumpers to. I’ve been looking a the ones from travelinlite. Has anyone fitted these? Do they fit ok? Was there anything else you needed other than grills eg extra brackets?
Many thanks John

I’ve fitted a rear tailgate bumper from Travelinlite, it comes primed and without parking sensor holes. The holes are marked on the inner face of the bumper for self drilling.
The only weak point is the last top clip point closest to the wheel arch, it is very fragile and won’t with stand many removals without breaking. I wouldn’t say this is a Travelinlite issue as the VW bumper is the same. The good news is that the bumper is held inline with the screws in the wheel arch trim.
I was amazed just how flimsy the VW and Travelinlite bumpers are, seems modern day bumpers are just for show and don’t deal with minor knocks.

Hi nick
That sounds good I’ll give you first refusal. I just need to make up my mind on which bumpers to go for ( genuine or aftermarket)

hi folks talking of bumpers any info on painting bumpers iv bought a 2nd hand painted front bumper in black but I need to re spray it in grey I know I need to rub it down to key it the bit im stuck on is do I plastic primer it first them primer it all do I just primer it then spray it .I know youd plastic primer it if its not been painted .so any advice would be good thank you

Plastic primer is really a 1st coat on virgin plastic, sorta like an etch primer is used on metal. If the bumper is already fully painted (no damage etc), key it back, then prime/base/lacquer.
