Bumper drl led not workjng

Hi

Bumper drl issue on t6

Drivers side has stopped working. Going to guess the ballast is at fault. Does anyone know where they are located and a part number for them.
If I can swap it with the passenger side I will confirm if it is faulty.

Thanks for any advice.

Bumper DRLs are aftermarket, so it's probably more straightforward to buy another set.

Oh right. Wasn’t aware of that. Bought the van a couple of months ago. Thought they were a standard thing.

Ad link above but I would think it’s likely that the ones you have installed are aftermarket (transporter hq, travelling-lite or vanstyle etc) whichever route you go down and would imagine you would need to buy a pair

Cheers guys. It’s a high line that was converted a few years back so have no idea to be fair. Wouldn’t surprise if they were oem ones, but with out stripping the bumper off I don’t know yet.

If they are then I may well be interested in them if I can’t fix it.

Yes they are gloss black. Looked that up and looks like they are aftermarket ones due to that.

Still a chance the could be VW OEM genuine?

I bought a genuine unpainted complete set with cables and grilles, in ‘19/‘20, as suited the intended look of my black Kombi.

They came in the original VW-supplier box and packaging, with VW part nos. & fitting instructions.

I believe at the time the supplier also offered genuine gloss black painted versions, at additional cost.

I can’t access them at the moment, as in storage since moving house, along with all the other items I’ve bought but not yet fitted…..

But that’s for a different thread!

Ah ok. Well they maybe then.
If it does need replacing I would rather just replace the led than have to replace all the wiring loom etc. it sure if others will just plug into what’s there.
Think I may need to phone the company and see if they will tell me what was fitted.

Maybe check the flexible conduit etc against the pics of @cgtmiles ?
