My VW Transporter T6.1 with a manual transmission and 103,000 km makes a humming noise when cornering sharply at low speeds, especially when parking
This noise appears after about 10 minutes of driving.
- It disappears when I disengage the clutch. It's louder on the right and quieter on the left.
- No noise is audible when driving straight, regardless of speed.
- The noise doesn't seem to be coming from faulty wheel bearings (at least not at first glance).
- There's no typical clicking noise from the cardans tested during road tests (verified by a Volkswagen mechanic).
-Note that the right cardan is new (the noise was already present with the old cardan whose bearing must have been damp, but that's unrelated to the problem).
The front axle has therefore been checked, at least partially by a mecanics .
I swapped the front tires with the back tires but without success.
Volkswagen technicians don't really understand...!
Do you have any idea what the problem might be?
Thanks, Eric

Hello
My VW Transporter T6.1 with a manual transmission and 103,000 km makes a low, humming noise when making tight turns in parking lots at low speeds (a "whoosh" sound).
- It appears when the engine is warm, after about 10 minutes of driving.
- It disappears when I disengage the clutch. It's louder when turning right and quieter when turning left.
- There's no noise when driving straight, regardless of speed.
- The sound doesn't sound like faulty wheel bearings (at least not initially).
- There's no clicking noise typical of CV joints used during road tests (Volkswagen mechanic).
Note that the entire right CV joint is new (the noise was already present with the old right CV joint, whose bearing housing must have gotten wet, but that's unrelated to the problem).
(The front suspension has therefore been checked by a mechanic, at least partially).
I've rotated the front tires I checked the reverse gear and then the rear, but there was no change.
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks, Eric
