HI all, just a quick question if I may , I have sourced some T32 larger callipers so I can go 340mm disc up front from the smaller set up , but was wondering if I need to get different brake hoses ? have done a little search and some say I do and some don't , just want to get all the gear lined up ready to fit and from what I see there are 2 types available all down to length ?

Thanks for you help on this

You're right, there are two lengths listed, not sure why IIRC there's no info on the VW parts listing either.

Anyway, standard length hoses are fine when moving to the larger calipers on the T5.1 and T6 using that version of 340mm. Can't comment on the smaller T6.1 340mm caliper.

No need to change the lines when changing to the 340mm front Calipers. Using the existing lines will be fine. I think the issue is more about how they are secured to the front suspension strut and therefore the slight variance in routing they take between van variants. The T32 strut secures the brake line slightly differently when compared to the T30 and T28, so the lines would be different, but as you aren't changing the suspensions struts there's no need to worry.

thanks all , callipers are back from Refurb and looking absolutely amazing .... next shop to visit is @Nutexa Frictions for discs and pads all round !

Look awful similar to mine.
I can’t wait to fit them
I’m also fitting Nutexa grooved and dimpled discs and Nutexa pads front and rear.

Where did you get the calipers refurbed? They look great! Wouldn't mind having mine done.
I retrofitted the larger 340 calipers and discs on my old T5.1 - swapped the brake hoses for braided stainless versions with the brakes having to be bled anyway, seemed like the best opportunity.

I did mine myself

I had them done by BCR Brake Caliper Refurbs – Specialist brake caliper refurbishment, caliper painting, caliper servicing, brake caliper painting, brake caliper repair they did a really great job and not silly money , they fitted all new pistons and bleed nipples , they literally like new !

I might get myself some nice braided lines also !
