You are not the first to query Leighton about spare wheel management as i asked the same to Leighton uk. I have the LV ebc brake kit and standard rear brakes so plan to adopt the front rear shuffle approach suggested by pommie Dave. LV offered ti sell me a Porsche space saver which fits the wheel but would need a packer if using the under van carrier. As for gunk and compressor, I would personally avoid it as I hear once used the tyre can’t always be repaired. That said it appears most vehicles these days have goo and a compressor.
