Hi guys I've removed some self adhesive closed cell foam rubber sheets from the internal panels and roof of my van as I want to fit dodo mat etc . The problem is i need to remove the old adhesive and thin patches of the old stuff, does anyone know of something i could use without stripping the paint?

Gtechniq W7 Tar and Glue remover worked really well for me on some old 3m adhesive tape with no residue left behind. Came from Amazon if I remember correct, about £10 for 5ooml. Scraped off with a plastic scraper to remove the harder stuff.

Cellulose thinners got rid of my old adhesive but could also take some of your paint with it. It was on a wheel arch so I wasn't bothered

Thanks I will check Amazon.

WD40 does a pretty good job of removing adhesives I’ve found and it doesn’t damage your paintwork. Just saying. Be well.

Machine mart sell them, they are really ment for remove decals and vinyl lettering because you need to mount them in a cordless drill it might be a bit difficult getting them inside the door but they do work very well. Took all the signage off my old ranger in about an hour.

Hi Bertrum I've just been looking on the Internet I see what you mean , could be useful in larger panels maybe use adhesive remover aswell in the harder to get places .
