Best aftermarket LED oem style headlights

Hi,

I am looking a bit of advice, I’ve been looking though the forum for a recommendation for the best aftermarket OEM style LED headlights for my T6.

A lot of the post seem to be from quite a few years ago and there seems to be more opinions on the market.

I have a black van and prefer the darker style headlights but I am open to options.

The reason I am changing is for output so I also want a light that preforms is paramount.

Want something in and around the £500

Thanks

There’s a few topics lately with the Vland LED lights in that a bunch of us have bought for the F6 and T6.1.

The lights are amazing but there’s a few with dab issues that we are trying to resolve.

I can't say that the issues I had with DAB were related to fitting LED headlights to my van. I don't really remember DAB getting worse at a particular time, but it was virtually unusable until I fitted a shark fin DAB aerial, and is not almost faultless (other than geographically problematic)

Having moved to dark skies of North Northumberland, I'm finding my H4's sufficient for local night driving. I don't drive much in the dark hours anyway so LED's won't be cost effective for me. Plus I like an OEM look so the only ones I would go for are the Oem H7's or LED's

I would be interested to know more about the aerial please, which one, how easy (or not) it was to install etc 🙂

I paid a guy to supply and fit, but it didn't take him long. I'm pretty sure I asked him to get me a Calearo Shark II (or I might have bought it myself).

Dropped the roof lining at the back near the tailgate, drilled a hole and then painted the newly cut metal with primer, fitted the aerial and ran it down the side of the roof and the A pillar, and plugged into the back of the headunit.
The aerial in the mirror is still there but just disconnected.

How long do you reckon it takes? I've had some pretty daft quotes for this which turns what sounds like a simple enough job into a very expensive one. :(

Just checked my email - supplied and fitted for £275. He came to me (Northamptonshire) and it was done in maybe 2 or 3 hours.
Certainly didn't take him long and that was an unknown (to him) vehicle, so he didn't know how the roof lining came apart, asked me where I wanted the aerial fitted, etc

Have a look at my van thread (link in sig). There is an image on page 3 of where it is fitted.

I think the biggest problem is people relying on their auto high beam too much and it always turns back to dipped beam too late, or people with manual high beams just not bothering to turn them off for oncoming traffic.
