Battery replacement

I am thinking it’s time to change the battery as not holding charge like it used to and is now over 3 years old and the lack of use this last year hasn’t done it much good. I have ordered a battery monitor thanks for the info @Dellmassive to keep my eye on it, van is stop/start 2017 just a few thoughts please.

1. If I buy a direct replacement is it a simple swap over, anything to worry about powering down? The old days of car radio codes being lost etc I remember being a pain.

2. Secondly is it possible to get a higher amperage to fit in the space? Not sure if I read somewhere that the van had to be told of different battery but may have dreamt that.

Andy i did it last week, easy to do. Best have a read thru delmassives battery upgrade..

You can fit a 95ah in the same space and then need to tell the van there is a bigger battery installed. If you change fir a same size same brand battery you don't need to do anything.

As for codes I had a message on the radio for few mins then it disappeared. Everything else remained except for the power window settings, I had to put them up down a few times
