Battery base

Is this ok for a base under the drivers seat? Or do I not really need the wooden base. My thinking is that as the lithium battery will be on its side. it would be better supported on the wood. The dc to dc charger is screwed in now and I have cut the rear out to aid cooling

better than not having a flat base, and as you say it will give the battery better support.

use webbing straps (or somthing else) to fix the battery in place.

maybe spray it back, or add some carpet to make it look nice.

Yea il be covering the base i think and webbing is a must. Need to source that from Ebay.

Will the charger get enough cooling with the finished cut out like that? As I'm thinking about placing a board on the rear base to screw fuse holder and Isolator switch onto
