Bad Drivers

20180629_193604.jpg Parked up in town yesterday and came back to this damage. No note left on the windscreen offering an apology and contact number. Is it not the decent thing to do? Checked the area for cameras but none there. Not a happy bunny as you can imagine, but hopefully it won't need a new bumper. Aaaaarrrrggggghhhhhhh.

What a nightmare I would be fuming people have no respect so it would seem I hope it’s not to bad mate.

They probably looked after hitting it and said "thank god, it's only a van" just like the woman who reversed into mine said.
It was only when I pointed out I could buy 5 identical cars to hers, for the price of mine, she was a little more respectful.

Looks like an easy spray job Hope fully.

The more I look at that photo, the more it makes me furious that there are such vile drivers out there.
Who ever hit it, would of known they'd done so.
The fact a person does this kind of damage, looks to see what they've done, looks around to make sure no one's looking, and just drives off! That's just the worst part of todays selfish nature that makes me cringe. Plus the fact you now have to pay possibly reasonable money out of your own pocket to fix this is even worse.

Such a gutting shame people can be this low mate, I genuinely feel for you, and if you weren't the other end of the country, i'd have this through my bodyshop making sure you only paid the material costs to repair this.

That's exactly what a lady said to me in my 4 day old T5.1 after she'd opened her door onto mine while I was sat in it. That was also when I decided to fit a dashcam in case I wasn't in it and carried that on to my T6.

One of the lads at work reckoned one of my wheels was worth more than his car

And therein lies the problem, jalopy drivers don't give a ****

I hope it is just minor and I am sure we all feel the same,if it was me I would be in killing mode:mad:

Have to say though my T5.1 was returned from a main dealer service in a similar state but covered over with polish. It was only because the white polish stood out so much that I wiped it to reveal similar damage. A quick phone call to their service manager soon had answers. The valeter had reversed it into a wall and admitted to trying to hide it with polish! I opted for a new bumper to save on time off the road.

To be fair it's not a new thing, in 1982 someone knocked over my parked 350LC, reversing over a wheel and buckling it in the process, and drove off. Someone saw it but didn't get their number but said they got out and looked at the bike before getting back in and driving off.
