Awning Rail issues

image.jpeg image.jpeg Hi all, apologies if this is in the wrong place.
I have a t6 with an awning rail and a drive away kit it all works fairly well until it's windy, I've used it twice and the drive away has become dislodged from the van rail twice. I believe that the drive away (Vango 6mm) is not thick enough, the rail on the van is fairly flexible and simply opens up when it has a little tension on it.
Two pictures one shows the rail the second shows the 6mm bead partly out. Any help would be appreciated MickW

Do you the figure of eights along with a kador strip to attach? If so perhaps a 6 - 8mm kador strip would work better. Another option that I've suddenly become a fan of is the pole and clamp method of attachment on our awning, the pole fits into a sleeve adjecent to the kador bead on the awning and then clamps into the gutter on the awning rail. It's quick, easy and very secure, it even lets you get a tight fit back on the tunnel on reattachment

Many thanks, I have an Avango kit which works providing it doesn't come under much tension, I've found a 6mm X 7mm online but I doubt that would be good enough I'll look for a larger version 6-8mm which might be good enough.
Hadn't thought of looking at other options I assumed that the kit supplied would work, I'll do some more research.
