As per the title.
My van is now due the 4year cam belt & water pump change.
Listers in Droitwich want £570.
Auditechnik has quoted £399 using genuine VW parts - I have queried this and they say they use exactly the same parts as I would have fitted at Listers.

Has anybody on here used them and can share their experience?

TIA!

I was in exactly the same position as you last year and had them on my shortlist but in the end I used a VW transporter specialist in Nailsworth who are a 2 man family business and know these vehicles inside out. They also work on T4/T5 campers and have an excellent local reputation.
I can’t remember what I paid but seem to remember 700 including a major service, MOT and all the auxiliary belts etc.
if your interested I can pass on the details (they don’t have a website as they don’t need to advertise).

Thanks Nigel - their contact details would be very much appreciated.
I also got a price from 360 Automotive - also in Gloucester. But they quoted £495 so only £75 less than VW - on this price comparison I'd probably stick with the dealer.

I also remember, don’t know if it applies to you, that one garage on my shortlist couldn’t do my LWB as their ramps are too small.
if you do go to STC the little unmarked unit opposite does repairs to vintage Bugatti/RR and similar and well worth a nosey.
STC usually have some vintage VW campers they are working on and they are happy to do ‘camper’ work as well if you need anything.
They do have some loan cars but it’s a nice walk into Nailsworth or the pub opposite the garage, the Weighbridge, which is famous for its 2 in 1 pies Is well worth a visit.

Have you tried the new VW Van Service Centre in Tewkesbury? I've not used them myself but it might at least be worth a call. IIRC the company is called Arthur Spriggs but they are the new official VW van people for our area. I've only had my van serviced once and that was done at Swindon - nothing particularly wrong with them (other than a cramped car park) but it's a long way from us. I was going to 360 Automotive once my warranty runs out but will probably also have a look at the place in Nailsworth that Nigel recommended. Whatever you wind up doing, a report back would be appreciated,

I’ve used Spriggs in Tewkesbury twice, one for services, the other for brake fluid change, both good experiences.

When it comes to cambelt change I’ll likely try STC depending on prices at the time.

This was without the water pump wasn’t it? - I’ve booked Challenge £499, more for convenience but still £100 cheaper that Droitwich.

Have used auditechnik lots of times though.

James the price Auditechnik quoted me was for the belt and water pump. They tell me they will use exactly the same parts as VW Droitwich.
Given you've used Auditechnik a few times, I'm guessing you would recommend them?
TIA.
