Are there any small companies / sole traders on here that take on apprentices?

I could do with some advice (for my son)

I've been approached multiple times, the fact is as a sole trader the extra insurance, HSE etc means it's not feasible for me.
Bigger firms have the budget to take on regular apprentices, nothing like as many as was years ago when I started out though.
